| MOST SURREAL DAY EVER!!!!!eleven!! |
[23 Jun 2008|01:10am] |
ok so let me paint this lil picture.
its Warm, its in Munich Germany.
So we (theblackout) we asked to play a show called Projekt Revolution, its owned by Linkin Park and they play and put it on and choose the line up.
so the lineup looks like this....
LINKIN PARK HIM N*E*R*D THE USED THE BLACKOUT
25,000 people, we play and we go down quite well, we come offstage happy with it. its insane to think that 3/4years ago we were playing to nobody in our hometown couldnt get a show and now we get to travel the vast blue and green ball. itll never make sense to me.
next up the used go on and play a good set, we've toured with them before, they are super nice guys and always cool to talk to/hang out with.
then comes something that can only be described as "gdkfhvihwinvmeuivnier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
N*E*R*D take to the stage so me and the boys walk round out front so we are between the stage and the crowd in the security pit. They start and it all kicks off, everyone in my band is singing along dancing then Pharell walks over to our side gives a nod and a wave and walks/dances off again. they play all the hits. During lapdance, Pharell gets Bert from the used out onstage for a dance then as im laughing at the madness on the stage Pharell calls me up, i climb the stupidly high stage and next thing i know its like some sort of hiphop jamboree on a stage!
anyway N*E*R*D come off stage i walk down infront of them so im not in the way, cos some big acts get security to move everyone out of the way, and NERDS security is two absolutely massively ripped guys with vests on.
i get to our dressing room and turn round and Pharells there, so i said "Great show bro!" at this point im expecting him to say "yeah whatever." but he throws a hug and says "thank you for supporting our band, it means alot seeing someone in the other bands enjoying it!"
so we get chatting and he mentions some new projects he's been working on, i seriously didnt think hed be so passionate about what he does. Then he mentions they are playing a secret show to 200 people in Munich that night and if we wanted we could go hang out. We all instantly knew that was a yes!
so we get to the club and get in ok, we get whisked backstage and get to see them all again and we all say hi or whatever. then i go and get a drink and i come back to their dressing room and theres a bouncer on the door not letting anyone in so i wait, then they all come out and matt (from my band) comes out with a big smile on his face and said "i just prayed with em!"
They get onstage the crowd goes fucking nuts. Twice in one day i get blown away by one band! they come off and its boiling, we hang out for a bit before we have to head off, i mention i want to go to see NERD at Projekt Revolution at milton keynes so we exchange numbers and we leave!
I cant wait to see them play again.
if they come anywhere near you YOU HAVE TO GO SEE THEM!
www.myspace.com/sexysexysean for a picture.
The Blackout tours Europe and the UK in sept/oct,
the uk dates the line up is:
The Blackout From first to last Escape the fate the medic droid

| what a weird week. |
[01 May 2006|05:19am] |
so all week me and the band have been travelling the great nations that combine forces to become the united kingdom. we started off doing a tour with 3 other bands who were all american and all fantastical people.
DRIVE BY PARAMORE CLASSIC CASE
Us and CC really clicked and bonded and it was awesome, we kinda bro'd down and i was sad to leave earlier thinking i wont see them tomorrow or not til i go to NY or they come back. they really are the best bunch of guys and the band is amazing too. so monday, tuesday, wednesday and friday were spent on the GIVE IT A NAME PRESENTS... tour, we were meant to play the thursday in macnhester too but we got asked to support LOSTPROPHETS at newport centre and it was amazing. we were all in awe of the place cos its kinda where we've seen alot of our favourite bands and to get there and soundcheck and sing 'GOLD' by Spandeau Ballet was fun. we played the show i thought it went alright, awesome.
then comes the weekend.
SATURDAY manchester evening news arena.
we open give it a name to roughly nine thousand people (yes thats right 9,000) and it was rising with every fantastic note/wiggle of the hips. by the end of our set it looked quite full. i really loved the show and was so pumped after it. it meant so much that people gave a fuck about us and had a laugh and said hi and stuff.
SUNDAY london EARLS COURT.
that place had 15,000 people in it. we opened again and this time they had big projections/monitors and i saw my head on a giant telly. it was so surreal. im sure i said 'oh look my heads on telly' the boys thought this was a better show but i wasnt sure, i kinda got a headache during the set so i came off and had a buzzing feeling in my cranium. lostprophets were amazing. adam lazzara from tbs fame nearly decapitated his abssist too. im sure you can read about that somewhere on the interblog.
so yeahits 5.30 AM.
the new lostprophets album is a catchy fucker.
oh yeah i met the queen of myspace and shes awesome.
tom delonge is 6'4'' i thought he was on stilts. they do a blink cover too.
anyway im fucked.
comment or dont comment. its a new game im gonna get noel edmonds to host(if you dont understand google it)
my glowing team XXX

so i havent updated for like 3 months or something. so heres a list of things that happened.
i left the british isles to go to canadia, to see my boys and hear the stuff theyve been up to. i got a tattoo while i was out there, its magical. theres 6 of us now with a random tattoo. i commited my fantastical voice to a record. (sean smith as produced by bob rock! haha) i went to a gay cafe, it was awesome, the menu they had the 'tom selleck burger' and the chef had a dog collor and the waiters and waitress' called us ladies!
the band is going well and i love it. its mental to think there was a time that i'd give the band up for other things, but now ive never been happier with it. writing the best songs we've ever written, playing shows i thought we'd never do, playing with some of my favourite bands and heroes. the interest that people have for the band is amazing and im in total awe of it. we are talking with a label about something at the moment but its all up in the air. theres even been talk of a few US shows!!! INSANE!
right now im the happiest ive ever been, everything is rad. my life, my girl, my band, my friends.
so yeah we are on the give it a name presents tour. the line up is:
drive by paramore classic case(the current drummer for glassjaws band, how gay am i?) the blackout
its kind of a revolving bill thing, with drive by headlining everynight.
the dates are:
22nd april islington academy london
23rd barfly cardiff
24th academy 2 liverpool
25th academy2 newcastle
26th kingtuts glasgow
27th academy 3 manchester
28th academy 2 birmingham
29th GIVE IT A NAME BIG SHOW manchester MEN arena we are on at like 1.30pm
30th GIVE IT A NAME BIG SHOW london earls court on stage at 1.30pm
we are also doing that full ponty festival thing. 11,000 people in ponty park is gonna be hectic. im also a BAMF and i have proof, enquire within.
i gotta fly. http://www.myspace.com/sexysexysean http://www.myspace.com/theblackout
you and me, my glowing team. im not gonna leave whatever happens. you know it deep down. number2 x

two reasons why im updating this interdiary.
1) sean will be visiting canada between the dates of febuary 13th and 20th of febuary on a secret peace treaty mission. to be precise i'll be round and about vancouver. i dont think i have anyone from, in or around canada on my lj but tell your maple syrup eating and ice hockey loving friends that im invading and i have a flag, so i might claim canada for myself.
2) www.giveitaname.co.uk whos playing i hear you ask. the answer is THE BLACKOUT!
im out folks!

i wasnt sure whether to delete this or not, because really no-one gives a fuck what i write here.
the band is going well played some fun shows. we played a fantastic show on boxing day in merthyr, We played 5 numetal covers because we were playing after some WRESTLING, thats right grown men grappling and body slamming! it was fucking awesome! so we played two limp bizkit covers (counterfeit and my generation) linkin park - one step closer, Papa roach - between angels and insects, deftones - my own summer (with guest drummer from all the way from Los angeles californIA, Ian 'shinobivsdragonninja' watkins.) we have played twice since then and ian has came to one and demanded to play or he'll stop us getting good shows or something. its fun to see him again, bit gutted all those boys are in the US alot, but im meant to be going out to see them in vancouver in feb, theres talk of them mixing the record in bryan adams crib!
ive spent all of my fantastic holidays with my ladyfriend Lo-Ro, bitch is hott ass!
APRIL MIGHT BE MY FAVOURITE MONTH EVER.....you'll find out why when i can say.
so yeah i got a new phone, tmobile mda. boosh! msn and aim and net and word on the go. its tearing.
so yeah id love some myspace msgs and shit, go through the available channels.
oh yeah if your bored come see us play.
i gotta go its late.

| OMG its that guy that never posts on LJ!!!!! |
[28 Oct 2005|01:39pm] |
yeah so why not fucking update eh?
the tour with HIDDEN IN PLAIN VIEW and BRIGADE was fucking amazing. if you came to any of the shows thank you.
We were quite worried about the tour at first, us being a bit shouty and a bit not pop punk, we thought the hidden in plain view guys would fucking hate us, but it turns out they are some of the nicest guys we've ever met.
then we also instantly though that BRIGADE would hate us cos their more kind of rock/post hardcore type stuff, but they might actually be the NICEST bunch of people ive ever met.
thinking about it, it was a mental line up, cos 99 percent of the kids were there to see HIPV so why would they like us or brigade, every night we went down well and i'm extremely greatful to the hipv kids for being open minded enough to admit they liked us or bought tshirts or whatever.
i went to a wedding it was awesome, i went with a most fantastical person. me and louisa looked incredible! (but mainly me) the groom went down the isle to the darth vader march. fantastical. the cake was cupcakes and had hans solo and princess leia on the top.
anyway. stop. collaborate and listen.

| long time no write huh? |
[14 Jun 2005|06:05pm] |
so yeah...a few things have changed over the last two months. When Reason Sleeps is no more, i loved my time there and still love the people that were in the band/involved with the band, i really dont wanna grow apart. we are all doing different things musically and the ones ive heard are quality (www.myspace.com/kidsinglasshouses is dopez's new thang and its some funky shit)and soon we are all gonna be fighting for the number one TOTP place soon, i cant wait to do an interview and have to slag them off! hahaha.
Since then some good things and bad things have happened. The Blackout (www.myspace.com/theblackout) got offered to support Avenged Sevenfold in manchester so we did! to 2,500 people, it was amazing and im glad i did it with those guys cause they loved it more than anything and most of them love avenged too for some strange reason! We also supported Funeral For a Freind in Blackwood to 650 people that was amazing, people from where we lived didnt have a clue where we were from or who were were! The Blackout should be recording soon maybe with the mighty romesh at longwave studios (he also did our pics on myspace for an ugly freak he has some talents!) i spent so long not going to practice and bothering with those guys that i didnt hear anything they were writing the new stuff is awesome.
some stuff happened i dont wanna write about.
ive been il for the last week and lost half a stone! yeah so now im only 3 bajillion stone!
i'll update this in a year!
xitsinevitabletonightx
www.myspace.com/sexysexysean (thats sarcasm) wait till the songs downloads on the page, its worth the wait!
